Awarded First Prize at Premio Arte 2019. The series explores memory through photographs, books and letters, using soft light and vintage atmospheres to evoke a seemingly distant past.
Photography as a way of seeing
I use photography to observe people, places and the traces they leave behind. My practice moves between documentary photography, visual storytelling and socially engaged work, with particular attention to memory, identity and everyday experience.
Working across different cultural contexts has shaped an approach based on observation, sensitivity and attention to the relationship between images, places and the people they represent.
Writing & Research
My writing explores photography, visual culture and social issues, with a particular focus on mental health, representation and documentary practice.
